Nagios service check socket timeout
Got a little bit of a problem with a Nagios system we are using in our office, which has only recently started appearing.
Yet, even with this change, I still get timeout errors of 60 seconds.
Ive read that some of the bhs discount code march 2015 plugin timesouts are as low as 10 seconds.
Now I just change that value to something higher like 240 seconds, restart the nrpe service and hopefully I'll have fewer false alarms.Command_timeout240, image Credit: William Warby, share this post, facebook. What i would like to know really is the best solution to resolve this problem as ive done a bit of reading on it and there seems to be lots of different ways to solve.Basically at random points throughout the day and on random hosts / services we will get a Critical warning flagged up that something is not behaving as it should, when we investigate 9 times out of 10 we end up with this as an error.I also tried passing it a different user agent string, no difference.I tried increasing the timeout, no luck.Internet Speed Test, call Center Providers, re: Nagios-users Critical - Socket Timeout After 10 Seconds use -t 20 to increase the timeout to 20 seconds (or whatever you want most plug-ins have that switch example -H myserver -p 80 -t 20 do a -help for.Which does not tell me what's going wrong. No other services are reporting this problem.Host: m, critical - Socket timeout after 10 seconds. But I give this a try anyways as you can see in my nagios configuration file: define command command_name check_remote_disk command_line user1/check_nrpe -t 240 -H hostaddress -c check_disk -a ARG1 ARG2 ARG3 register.Subject: Nagios-users Critical - Socket Timeout After 10 Seconds I am running Nagios.0.6 with Nagios Plugins.4.13 on Suse Linux.1.
In those cases, I'll receive a Nagios problem service alert notification with the following status: check_nrpe: Socket timeout after 60 seconds.
The check_nrpe command accepts a command line argument -t which should allow me to increase the length of the timeout: [email protected] -help.
The remote site is up and healthy, and I can do a wget m/abc/def from the nagios server, and it downloads the response just fine.Windows servers have NSClient.2.7, every few minutes Nagios detects that a servers/service is down because it times out and in the status information shows: Critical - Socket.Timeout como funcionan las cosas zeta multimedia xp After 10 Seconds.I tried with -v, but all it get is: GET /abc/def http/1.0, user-Agent: check_http/v1861 (nagios-plugins.4.11 connection: close. It's only when I use the -u argument that things break.Usage: check_nrpe -H host -b bindaddr -4 -6 -n -u -p port -t timeout -c command -a arglist.Timeout Number of seconds before connection times out (default10).Solution Centers, resources, newsletters, cloud Storage Providers, business VoIP Providers. Also, doing a check_http -H m -f follow works just fine,.e."service alert: servername ;NSClient - Socket timeout after 10 seconds" indicating the service or host has timed out, where do i go about setting the timeouts so this stops?
